Room 1 playground

On the 16th of September 2009, Year 6 & 7 students started building a play area for room 1. They started by taking the plants out and putting them in another garden. After that they started levelling and stomping on the ground. They are going to put in a sand pit, water table and a road to drive their trucks on.

Maori rock art trip

On the 9/9/09 Room's 4 & 5 went to Opihi and Hazelburn to see some Maori rock art. We saw different pattern's like whale's, bird men, fish, the moa and much more. The Maori drew on Limestone and used charcoal and red ochre and sometimes used limestone. After about a 10 minute walk we came to a 5 to 6 metre Taniwha stretched across the cave on a farm at Opihi.
